On 8 October, the Second People's Hospital of Liaocheng City combined the "National High Blood Pressure Day", "Fansen Medicine Box", "Healthy Weight Year" and "World Mental Health Day" with the "National High Blood Pressure Day" and "World Mental Health Day". On 8 October, the Second People's Hospital of Liaocheng City, in conjunction with "National Hypertension Day", "Fansen's Pillbox", "Healthy Weight Year", "World Mental Health Day", "JiuJiu Chongyang Festival" and other thematic festivals, carried out a series of popularisation of science activities in cardiology ward one, neurology, nephrology, CCU and ophthalmology.
October 8, 2024 is the 27th "National High Blood Pressure Day", the theme is "Healthy Weight Ideal Blood Pressure", in order to continue to promote the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; on the morning of the same day, by the Party Committee member of the hospital, Wang Xinqiang, the chief physician of Nephrology Department, Cheng Lixin, Wang Xinqiang, member of the Party Committee of the hospital, Cheng Lixin, chief physician of the Department of Nephrology, Wang Yunpeng, deputy chief physician of the First Ward of the Department of Cardiology, and nursing staff of the relevant departments of the Fansen Pharmacy Medical Service Team went into the Popular Park in Linqing to carry out the "National High Blood Pressure Day" voluntary medical activities. Before the activity, Wang Xinqiang, a member of the Party committee of the hospital, introduced the construction of the hypertension standard centre to the medical and nursing staff attending the clinic, emphasized its significance in enhancing the level of prevention and treatment of hypertension, and asked the medical and nursing staff to do a good job in popularizing medical and health care knowledge in order to improve the public's health literacy. The clinic was conducted by hanging banners, distributing scientific information and free medicines, measuring blood pressure and abdominal circumference, face-to-face health talks, and voluntary consultation. There was a steady stream of participants, including the elderly and people at risk of chronic diseases. Medical staff carefully measured the blood pressure of every citizen and gave professional advice according to the blood pressure value. In terms of healthy weight promotion, the public was informed of the risk of hypertension due to overweight or obesity and the importance of maintaining a healthy body weight to maintain ideal blood pressure through the distribution of pamphlets and other means.
In order to care for the health of retired old cadres, Chen Baozeng, deputy chief physician of Cardiology Ward I, and Sha Shike, attending physician of Ophthalmology, went to Linqing Municipal People's Court in the afternoon of 8 October, and held a health popularisation seminar with the theme of ‘Warmth and care for the evergreen’. Director Chen Baozeng explained the importance of a healthy lifestyle for blood pressure control with the topic of ‘Healthy Lifestyle and Blood Pressure’, and at the same time, he also answered questions about the common blood pressure problems of the old cadres and stressed the importance of daily blood pressure monitoring. Dr Shashi Ke started his lecture on ‘Cataract’. He introduced the causes of cataract in detail, and raised the old cadres' awareness of cataract disease. After the lecture, the doctor also measured the eyesight of the veteran cadres and conducted cataract fundus screening for them. This activity was well received by the old cadres, who said that this activity made them feel the care of the society and made them pay more attention to their own health condition.
The organisation of this series of activities is an important initiative to improve the health literacy of the whole population, prevent hypertension and its complications, and improve the quality of life of patients, and has a positive role in promoting the construction of a healthy society.
