Our Hospital Participates in Stroke Day Public Service Activity

 October 29, 2023 is the 18th World Stroke Day, and the theme of this World Stroke Day is "Early Stroke Recognition and Effective Treatment". In order to implement the spirit of "Healthy China Action (2019-2030)" and other documents, to effectively prevent and control the high-risk factors of stroke, and to improve the ability of the masses to identify stroke early, on the morning of October 27th, Linqing Municipal People's Government, Linqing Municipal Bureau of Healthcare, Linqing Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Liaocheng City No.2 People's Hospital, Tangyuan Town People's Government, and Tangyuan Central Health Center of Linqing Municipal Government jointly carried out Stroke Day public welfare activities. Tang Minghui, vice chairman of Linqing CPPCC, Han Yi, director of Linqing Health Bureau, Chen Xiaoqing, director of Linqing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Sun Hao, mayor of Tangyuan Town of Linqing City, Zhang Tiezheng, vice president of Liaocheng City Second People's Hospital, Wang Xinqiang, a member of the party committee of the hospital and other related units attended the launching ceremony. The activity was presided over by Comrade Sun Hao.

   During the ceremony, Vice President Zhang Tie Zheng made a speech first. He welcomed the leaders, experts and medical workers to this public welfare activity, briefly introduced the construction of the stroke screening base of our hospital, and hoped that by carrying out this activity, we could increase the knowledge rate of the public about stroke prevention and treatment, further popularize the knowledge of stroke prevention and treatment, enhance the public's awareness of health and disease prevention, develop a good lifestyle, and improve their own health level.

  Afterwards, Mr. Tang Minghui, vice chairman of Linqing CPPCC and Mr. Han Yi, director of Linqing Health Bureau, delivered speeches on the prevention and treatment of stroke and the construction of Healthy China Action, and said that publicizing health care and health education will have a positive effect on enhancing the public's awareness of health care, improving the ability to prevent and treat stroke and improving the general public's physical health condition. It is hoped that everyone can actively cooperate and participate in the stroke prevention and control work.

After the launching ceremony, a team of experts consisting of 26 medical staff from Liaocheng City No. 2 Hospital conducted a free clinic for the people on the spot. Through blood pressure measurement, electrocardiogram, craniocerebral ultrasonography and other programs, the team provided free stroke screening for more than 60 people, conducted on-site health consultation and free floating needle treatment, and distributed health propaganda materials at the same time.
     This public welfare activity helped more people to understand stroke scientifically, improved stroke recognition ability, reduced the occurrence of stroke, and kept the people away from cerebrovascular disease and other chronic diseases, further contributing to the realization of the goal of universal health.
