New Era of Civilised Practice] Liaocheng City No. 2 Hospital carries out the "National Liver Day" volunteer activities

In order to further popularise the knowledge of liver disease prevention and treatment, enhance the public's awareness of liver care and improve their health literacy, Liaocheng City No.2 Hospital organised a series of health education activities on ‘National Liver Day’.

     On the afternoon of 17th March, at the site of volunteer medical activity in Canal Culture Square of Linqing City, Zhang Shufen of Infectious Diseases Department and Zhang Hongxia and Zhao Tingting of Gastroenterology Department patiently explained what hepatitis is, the classification of hepatitis, the transmission pathways of various types of hepatitis, the complications and hazards of hepatitis in easy-to-understand language to the people who came to the consulting and gave them the suggestions of preventive health care.


  At the same time, the nursing staff carefully measured the blood pressure of the patients, patiently answered all kinds of questions from the residents, in-depth interaction, interspersed with liver health care and prevention and treatment of chronic hepatitis knowledge propaganda, the public have said that they have benefited a lot, and have a further understanding of liver health.


 On 18th March, the team of Gastroenterology I, Gastroenterology II and Infectious Diseases went into the popular park to carry out the health promotion activity of ‘National Hepatitis Awareness Day’.


     The activity was promoted by hanging publicity banners, distributing scientific information, measuring blood pressure and providing free medical consultation. Nursing staff elaborated to the onlookers the relevant transmission channels of viral hepatitis, prevention and treatment methods, as well as how to protect the liver in daily life, how to eat a healthy diet and other precautions, and reminded the general public and their families to pay great attention to their own conditions, timely understanding of the disease to achieve early detection and treatment, which was unanimously praised by the public.
     Through this series of activities, the public's understanding of liver diseases and scientific liver protection has been further improved, adding new strength to the effective prevention and treatment of hepatitis and its complications, advocating doctors and patients to join hands to practice a healthy and civilised lifestyle, and contributing to a healthy China.
