On 14 September 2024, the 25th World First Aid Day was celebrated with the theme of "First Aid and Sports". In order to improve the public's emergency rescue skills, the Medical Department of the hospital, together with the Emergency Department, Cardiology Ward 1, CCU, Spine Surgery Ward 1, and Comprehensive Surgery Ward 1, held an event to celebrate the 25th World First Aid Day in the hospital. The medical department of our hospital, together with the emergency department, cardiology ward one, CCU, spine surgery ward one and comprehensive surgery department, went into the youth office JiJiaZhuang to carry out the public welfare activity of "first aid and movement" theme of Fansen medicine box.

At the activity site, professional medical staff were ready early and enthusiastically conducted free body checkups and health counselling for the villagers who came to consult. Measuring blood pressure, auscultation of the heart and lungs and other routine checkups were carried out in an orderly manner, and the medical staff patiently and meticulously answered all kinds of health questions raised by the villagers and gave professional advice and guidance according to each person's physical condition.

In the course of the clinic, the medical staff also combined with the theme of World First Aid Day, focused on explaining the specific operation steps and points of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for the villagers present, and demonstrated the emergency care methods of chest compressions and artificial respiration in a visual way with the help of teaching mannequins and simulation props, and emphasized the ‘golden time of cardiac arrest’ and the importance of CPR to improve the self-rescue ability of the elderly. It also emphasised the importance of cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and improved the self-rescue and mutual-help ability of the elderly.
