In order to promote the development of medical imaging, enhance the business capacity of medical imaging staff in the province, strengthen academic exchanges, and improve the medical level, the first stop of "Healthy China - Imaging Critics to the Grassroots Activity" in Shandong, organised by China Geriatrics Association, was held on 11 October 2024 in the fourth floor conference room of our Huamei Hospital. The first stop of "Healthy China - Imaging Greats to the Grassroots Activity" in Shandong, sponsored by China Association of Geriatric Health Care, was held on 11 October in the conference room on the fourth floor of Huamei Hospital. More than 20 experts and professors including Taishan Scholar, Professor Wang Ximing from Shandong Provincial Hospital, Professor Yu Dexin from Qilu Hospital, etc. were invited to the meeting, which was attended by Yang Qiucai, a fourth-grade researcher from Liaocheng City Healthcare Commission, Wang Xinqiang, a member of the Party Committee of the hospital, Lu Qiang, Director of Imaging Centre, Zheng Dexian, Director of Radiology Department of Huamei Campus, Professor Ge Yinglin from the Radiology Department of the headquarters, and more than 200 colleagues from the surrounding regions in the imaging profession.

Wang Xinqiang, a member of the Party Committee of the hospital, welcomed the experts to the meeting, pointing out that with the progress of medicine and the continuous innovation of medical imaging equipment and technology, medical imaging plays an increasingly important role in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. The "Healthy China - Imaging Experts to the Grassroots Activity" into Linqing will further accelerate the promotion of grass-roots medical imaging discipline construction and technology development, effectively enhance the Liaocheng City medical examination standardisation, homogenisation level, and better serve the general public health. We hope that we will take this opportunity to learn from each other and have in-depth exchanges, so as to improve the level of imaging diagnosis and treatment technology in the region and make positive contributions to the construction of Healthy Shandong.

In his speech, Yang Qiu Cai affirmed the important position of our hospital in Liaocheng City's healthcare system, and said that the imaging gurus from all over the world brought not only cutting-edge knowledge of imaging technology, but also a kind of concern and love for the cause of primary healthcare. He hoped that everyone would learn with an open mind and continuously improve their diagnostic imaging level. Through this academic activity, we will gradually promote the sinking of high-quality medical resources, continuously improve the operation technology and diagnostic level of the grass-roots imaging physicians and technologists, and jointly contribute to the construction of a healthy China.

In the lecture session, eight professors, including Wang Ximing and Yu Dexin, shared their knowledge of imaging from different perspectives, combined with clinical applications and typical cases, and the lectures were rich in practical content, bringing a feast of ideas and academic feast to the attending medical staff.

The success of this meeting not only enhanced the influence of our hospital in the field of medical imaging and the diagnosis and treatment level of specialists, but also laid a solid foundation for continuing to promote the standardisation and development of the hospital's medical imaging speciality.
