Since 2024, Prof. Xia Zhangyong's team in our hospital has achieved a number of research results.
In February 2024, Prof. Xia Zhangyong's team, led by Prof. Du Yifeng of Provincial Hospital of Shandong First Medical University, Prof. Xie Hengge of the Second Medical Center of PLA General Hospital, and Academician Tian Jinzhou of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formally published the Chinese Expert Consensus of Integrative Diagnosis and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease in The Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science. Based on evidence-based medical evidence, the expert group formed a consensus on the definition of Alzheimer's disease in Chinese and Western medicine, the current status of diagnosis and treatment, etiology, pathogenesis, pathogenesis in Chinese medicine, diagnostic methods, and prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease in both Chinese and Western medicine, which provides a clinical diagnostic and treatment plan for the combined diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease in both Chinese and Western medicine.
In April 2024, the internationally renowned journal Frontiers in Immunology (JCR 1) published in the form of a thesis the carotid atherosclerotic plaque pan-apoptotic related study of Prof. Xia Zhangyong's team, "Screening and validation of atherosclerosis PAN-apoptotic immune-related genes based on single-cell sequencing". This study is the first to screen pan-apoptotic-related biomarkers in carotid artery stenosis patients based on the GEO database and single-cell sequencing technology, and explores the biological processes in which they may be involved. The study showed that pan-apoptosis and autophagy play key roles in carotid atherosclerotic plaques. The team mapped mitochondrial autophagy-associated carotid atherosclerotic plaques through single-cell sequencing data, and analyzed four key genes of carotid plaques related to pan-apoptosis, including CNTN4, FILIP1, PHGDH and TFPI2, which provides scientific basis for further elucidating the pathogenesis of carotid atherosclerotic plaques. In addition, in the first half of 2024, the team also published 7 papers in SCI-indexed journals such as Aging (JCR Zone 2) and scientific reports (JCR Zone 2), and achieved a series of results.
Prof. Xia Zhangyong's team in Liaocheng Second People's Hospital is mainly devoted to the research on the mechanism and intervention of cerebral atherosclerosis, and the prevention and treatment of cerebral hemorrhage by combining Chinese and Western medicine. In recent years, the team cooperated with Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and achieved good clinical efficacy by applying Chinese medicine "blood-breaking and blood-stasis-expelling method" in treating acute cerebral hemorrhage, and the results were written into the textbook of higher Chinese medicine colleges and universities, "Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Case Edition)", as the "Clinical Path of Acute Cerebral Hemorrhage Combined with Chinese and Western Medicine". The results were written as "Clinical Path of Acute Cerebral Hemorrhage" in the textbook "Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Case Edition)" and "Internal Medicine of Combined Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine". The team has discovered and diagnosed many neurogenetic diseases, such as Pompe disease and Carney syndrome with PRKAR1A gene mutation, and deeply analyzed their pathogenesis, and some of the results are the first of their kind in the world. The team has presided over and participated in 14 national projects under the National Science and Technology Support Program, and 13 provincial and municipal projects under the Science and Technology Development Program of Shandong Province and the Natural Fund of Shandong Province. The team has won 1 Science and Technology Award of China Society of Integrative Medicine, 2 Science and Technology Progress Awards of Shandong Province, 5 Medical Science and Technology Awards of Shandong Province, and 13 Science and Technology Progress Awards of Liaocheng City. She has published more than 100 professional papers, including more than 40 SCI papers, and has been awarded 3 national patents. She has trained and is currently studying 19 master's degree students, 25 doctoral and postdoctoral students.
