 The existing area is more than 2,200 square metres, including 2,000 square metres of working rooms, 200 square metres of waiting area for patients, and the waiting room is equipped with air-conditioning, large-screen monitors, self-service report card printers, query systems, waiting chairs and other service facilities; the Laboratory Department is equipped with biochemistry laboratories, immunology laboratories, microbiology laboratories, chemiluminescence laboratories, clinical laboratory testing, emergency (ward) laboratories, molecular biology laboratories, clinical laboratory testing, and emergency (ward) laboratories. At present, the Department of Laboratory Medicine has 9 laboratories, including Biochemistry Laboratory, Immunology Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, Chemiluminescence Laboratory, Clinical Laboratory, Emergency (Ward) Laboratory, Molecular Biology Laboratory, Haemagglutination Laboratory, and AIDS Primary Screening Laboratory. Among them, the Molecular Biology Laboratory was put into use in 2005 after the acceptance of the Clinical Laboratory Centre of the Ministry of Health, and the AIDS Primary Screening Laboratory was put into use in 2006 after the acceptance of the Disease Control Centre of Shandong Province.
